Inspections for zebra mussels are REQUIRED by Colorado Parks & Wildlife for every boat that enters Green Mountain Reservoir. This is truly for the good of the environment and sustainability of our precious waterways. Have no fear, these inspections are performed at no cost to you.
Inspections are conducted from 7am to 7pm every day of the summer the Heeney Marina.
(PLEASE BEWARE THE GATES CLOSE AT 7 PM. YOU CANNOT TAKE OUT AFTER THIS TIME)
At this time 2019 Green MTN Reservoir is suspect for quagga mussels. Studies show at this time there is not a population growing in the lake but we have hit the suspect list like 7 other reservoirs in Colorado. Testing is ongoing. Please note that if you will be boating elsewhere the boat inspectors will decontaminate your boat to make it easier access to your next lake. (Please note the boat inspection process is done through Pyramid Enterprises(Rocky Mountain Recreation Company)
