What sets the Green Mountain Reservoir apart from other lakes in the area?  First and foremost, you are allowed to get into the water!  For some, there’s just something not quite right about going to the lake and not diving in.  Since getting into the water is encouraged, wakeboarding, tubing, skiing, paddle boarding, and swimming are very common on this lake.  Green Mountain also contains a variety of fish for those of you seeking a nice day out on the lake fishing. These fish include; Lake, Brown, Rainbow, and Cutthroat Trout, Kokanee, and Northern Pike. There is a $20 bounty on any Northern Pike caught and brought fresh to the Heeney Marina. You must have a valid fishing license. 
Also in the area is Cataract Lake which is home of some of the best hiking trails that Summit County has to offer.
